REVIEW: Always Be Pure - Forest Therapy Ultra Calming Cream

Talking about Korean skincare. K-beauty is always giving me great expectations because the formulas are effective yet generally gentle - no pain required. since most of them work well on my skin and one of them is Always Be Pure.

About Always Be Pure

Always Be Pure is a Korean skincare brand. Each Always Be Pure product contains forest complexes and cypress water extracted from cypress trees. It's actually my first time hearing Always Be Pure since their team offered me to try and make an honest review of their product, Forest Therapy Ultra Calming Cream.


It's quite interesting cause Forest Therapy Ultra Calming cream is made for all skin types and has a specialty on sensitive skin. Moreover, it's suitable for day and night skincare.  During the day, the cream protects the skin against harmful UV rays, while calming the skin down at night.

I assume people who live in Southeast Asian countries need this moisturizer cause of the hot weather. 

The Packaging

I've heard that Always Be Pure upgraded the packaging size from 55ml to this 80ml jar and add on a cover before the cream. However, this product doesn't come with a spatula which means we have to dip our fingers into the cream. 


Based on the picture above, if we see the back of the packaging contains some information about the product in Korean. However, if we look into the packaging box, we can find the details about the product written in English.

Ingredients, Texture, and Scent

This moisturizer has a gel-cream texture that is lightweight and easy to absorb once we spread it on our skin. It doesn't leave any sticky or greasy aftertouch.


This Forest Therapy cream contains 9700 ppm of cypress water which comes from the cypress tree, which serves to protect and moisturize our skin. This moisturizer also contains some key ingredients such as Centella Asiatica Extract, Willow Bare Extract, Madecassoide, Asiaticoside, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, etc.

The scent of this cream is pretty Citrus because of the Bergamot / Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Fruit oil.

Final Thought

It's been around 3 weeks using this moisturizer as my day and night skincare. I am definitely in love with the product because it has 3 main features that I'm looking for: A cooling sensation for calming down my skin from the humid weather, Fast absorbent, and leaves my skin looking healthy.

Despite that, the cream doesn't really improve my dark spots but enough to calm down my acne inflammatory and working well with my other skincare products. It didn't show any bad reactions.

Although it doesn't come with the spatula there aren't any cons.

Try Mie Koclok Bu Ijah For First Time!

Hello everyone, I'll share a little bit about my new experience. It was my first time eating an authentic dishes from one of my mom's hometown in West Java, Cirebon. It's called Mie Koclok or Shaked Noodle. Mie koclok (shaked), is an Indonesian chicken noodle soup (of course is a local food), a specialty of Cirebon city, West Java. The noodles come with a white-colored extra-thick soup (gravy), made of chicken broth and coconut milk, which is mixed with corn starch. Mie Koclok without white cabbage, sprouts, and sambal.
